Founded in 1959, İFSAK (Istanbul Photography and Cinema Amateurs Association) is a non-profit, 65-year-old organization whose main purpose is to ensure the learning, dissemination and development of the art of photography and cinema in Türkiye, to create rapprochement and solidarity between photography and cinema professionals, and to develop the culture and art environment. It is a non-governmental organization.
With more than 1000 members, including the leading photographers of Türkiye, IFSAK has been striving to popularize and increase the production of photography and cinema in Türkiye, to train new photography and cinema artists, and to ensure that photography and cinema gain the necessary respect since the day it was founded.   IFSAK hosts exhibitions of local and foreign photography artists, and organizes monthly talks, seminars, transparent/digital photography shows and photography competitions, attended by photography and cinema amateurs as well as well-known names from the world of culture and arts.   IFSAK, which takes part in national and international festivals with its activities, cooperates with various educational and training institutions, local and foreign photography associations and many cultural institutions. It supports photography competitions by providing selection committee members and providing consultancy.
Our association consists of a total of 700 m2 spread over 3 floors. The exhibition hall has an area of 80 m2 and has the capacity to display a total of 50 photographs measuring 50x70 cm.
