Photography Exhibition Featuring Indian Artists from the UAE Meets Art Enthusiasts in Konya
A photography exhibition showcasing the works of Indian photographers whoare members of the UAE-based Shutter Bugs Creative Forum was opened to thepublic in Konya. The exhibition was organized through the initiative of Sille Sanat Sarayı with the support of Karatay Municipality and was hosted by theKonya Branch of the Turkish Writers’ Union (TYB). The exhibition featured 55 photographs by 55 photographers from the ShutterBugs Creative Forum. The opening ceremony was attended by numerousphotography enthusiasts, including members of Sille Sanat Sarayı and theKOMEK Photography Workshop. During the opening, Reha Bilir, director of Sille Sanat Sarayı, emphasized theinstitution’s commitment to international events and highlighted the contributionof such cultural initiatives to the promotion of Konya. Following his speech, Reha Bilir presented special plaques from Sille Sanat Sarayı to Shutter Bugs President Mohammed Arfan Asif and TYB Konya Branch President Ahmet Köseoğlu. In his speech, TYB Konya Branch President Ahmet Köseoğlu spoke about therole of photography in fostering cultural relations and international exchange. Shutter Bugs Creative Forum President Mohammed Arfan Asif expressed his happiness at being in the city of Mevlana and thanked Karatay Municipality, Sille Sanat Sarayı, and TYB Konya Branch for their support. Karatay Municipality Deputy Mayor Adil Tosun stated that they were honored to hostsuch an exhibition and affirmed their commitment to supporting future artisticendeavors. At the end of the event, commemorative plaques were presented by ShutterBugs to Karatay Mayor Hasan Kılca, Karatay Municipality Culture DirectorNuri Keleş, and Sille Sanat Sarayı Director Reha Bilir. In addition, Reha Bilir was awarded the Shutter Bugs Gold Medal in recognition of his contributions tothe art of photography. Artists featured in the exhibition also receivedcommemorative medals from Sille Sanat Sarayı
