OPENING OF THE INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION
“THE GALLERY OF A SINGLE PHOTOGRAPH” The International Association “Euro Foto Art” (AIEFA) and Summit Agro Romania, in partnership with the Association for the Promotion of Tourism in Oradea and Surroundings (APTOR), continue to organize, under the auspices of the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP), new exhibitions of renowned photographic artists from Romania and around the world. In this context, the public passionate about photography will have the opportunity to admire a new international photographic art exhibition, initiated by photographer Volodymyr Norba, AFIAP (Ukraine), director of the Exhibition Center of the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP) in Chynadiyovo, Transcarpathia, Ukraine a longtime friend of Romanian photographers. The opening of the International Exhibition, organized within the framework of bilateral cultural exchanges between the Oradea–Romania and Chynadiyovo - Ukraine Exhibition Centers, took place on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 7:00 PM, at the FIAP Exhibition Center, “Euro Foto Art” Gallery, located in the Princely Palace of the Medieval Fortress of Oradea (Building E, ground floor). The attending audience was welcomed by photographer Ștefan Tóth István, AFIAP, ESFIAP, who shared his impressions regarding his participation in the opening of his solo exhibition at the FIAP Exhibition Center in Chynadiyovo, Ukraine, housed in the mysterious “Saint Nicholas” Castle. “We traveled to Ukraine despite the ongoing state of war, in order to support this exceptional project. In spite of the extraordinary situation there, we found that our presence meant a great deal to the organizers. The atmosphere of this Gallery, where only a single photograph was displayed, was truly remarkable!” emphasized the president of AIEFA. All exhibited works can also be viewed online at the AIEFA website: https://eurofotoart.ro/en/expo-foto-art-gallery-of-one-picture-of-the-carpathian-fiap-exhibition-center-ua/The international project consisted of organizing, in one of the most mysterious castles of the Carpathian region (which also hosts the FIAP Exhibition Center in Ukraine), a series of international photographic art exhibitions entitled “The Gallery of a Single Photograph.” In this gallery, for seven days, only one photograph by a single author was displayed. It was here that the exhibition of Oradea-based photographer artist Ștefan Tóth István, AFIAP, ESFIAP, was inaugurated in the presence of the artist: https://eurofotoart.ro/un-vernisaj-emotionant-la-chynadiiovo-ua/ The project’s final stage envisioned the creation of a representative traveling exhibition, along with the printing of photographic postcards featuring each of the works presented in Ukraine, in a limited edition of 50 copies. These postcards will soon be available for purchase. Thus will be laid the foundation of the collection “The Golden Collection of World Photographic Postcards,” which will be enriched each year with new artistic achievements. The musical moments of the opening were provided by violist Thurzó Sándor József, representative of the Sola Fide Community and Cultural Association (SFKKE), who performed several pieces from Romanian and Ukrainian repertoire: “Erinnerung” by R. Schumann, “Menuett und Musette”by Ch. Hampe, “Dans” by H. Jerea, “Nich yaka misyachna” by M. Lysenko, and “Poem Carpats” by M. Fomenko.The exhibited photographs will also be displayed on the screens of modern public transport vehicles in the city of Oradea, thanks to a protocol concluded between AIEFA and OTL SA. The exhibition will remain open to the public until September 14, 2025, on weekdays between 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with free admission.
