In 2017 More than 750,000 Rohingya peoples fled to Bangladesh after the Burmese army started an operation against the Rohingyas, by burning and destroying their homes and killing them in the Rakhine state of Myanmar.
There are more than 3,00,000 Rohingyas living in Bangladesh who fled in an earlier wave of violence from the Burmese government over the last three decades. International organizations have reported claims of human rights violations and summary executions allegedly carried out by the Myanmar army.
