About Claudia Muñoz Karig:
Claudia Muñoz Karig is an Ecuadorian-German photographer, educator and cultural manager based in Quito. She holds a Master's Degree in Artistic Photography and develops her practice around personal documentation, memory, identity and subjective ways of experiencing reality.
She is Director of Photography at KARIVA and Director of Centro de Foto Quito, where she develops exhibition, educational and cultural programs focused on photography and contemporary visual practices. Alongside her artistic practice, she teaches photography and accompanies photographers in the development of personal and conceptual projects.

KARIVA is an independent cultural space in Quito, Ecuador, dedicated to contemporary art and photography.
Its exhibition program brings together photographic projects, visual research and contemporary practices, creating a space for dialogue between artists and audiences.
Through exhibitions, educational activities, guided visits and collaborations with local and international partners, KARIVA promotes photography as a space for exploration, exchange and community.
