Human Shapes as Photographic Language
An exhibition and presentation by Eion Johnston EFIAP/d3 FRPS
On 01 September 2026 the FIAP Exhibition Centre Dublin was very proud to launch an exhibition of prints from Eion Johnston EFIAP/d3 FRPS a member of Edinburgh Photographic Society.
Eion was present for the opening and also gave a presentation to the members of the Dublin Camera Club on his photographic journey, which has culminated in his gaining of EFIAP/d3 and the FRPS distinctions and, also, this exhibition.
Many members of our Club members saw the exhibition and the presentation which all agree was of a very high standard.
This exhibition showcases eight works of photographic art, shot and created over some ten years. Each work consists of a display of several photographs as Eion’s personal response to a single concept.
In each work, human shapes and forms are used as the elements of a photographic language. Each illustrates an aspect of human experience as perceived by the artist, portraying thoughts and emotions.
