Inauguration of the New FIAP Photographic Art Exhibition Centre in Paris

Poster On Friday, April 4, 2025, the inauguration of the brand new FIAP (International Federation of Photographic Art) Exhibition Centre took place. The French Photographic Federation (FPF) had the honour of hosting this event in its Vallès Gallery, located at 5 rue Jules Vallès, in the heart of the French capital.
Jean Saleilles, President of the French Photographic Federation, Youssef Chennoufi, Director of the Centre, and José-Manuel Pires Dias, FPF Biennials Manager, warmly welcomed FIAP President Riccardo Busi and FIAP Exhibition Centres Director Joan Burgues Martisella. This inauguration marks the beginning of a new collaboration between the two federations, providing a dedicated space for the exhibition of FIAP's photographic collections in the heart of Paris.
The Exhibition Centre is designed to showcase the works of photographers. Visitors will be able to discover temporary exhibitions throughout the year. This initiative is part of FIAP and FPF's desire to promote photography as a universal art and to bring creators and the public closer together. The choice of Paris, a city emblematic of art and culture, is not coincidental. The French capital, with its rich artistic heritage, provides an ideal setting for this new Exhibition Centre.
The inauguration took place in a festive and friendly atmosphere, bringing together photography enthusiasts, artists, and partners. The exhibition displayed for this event was the FIAP World Cup winning sets of photos from France from the Black and White Biennial in 2024 and the Print section of the Colour Biennial in 2023. The French photos that achieved individual awards in the 2024 Nature Biennial and 2023 Youth Biennial were also exhibited. The celebration of the inauguration of this FIAP Exhibition Centre in Paris thus also showcased and celebrated the achievement of the French photographers gained individual awards in these events and the teams of French photographers who brought the two FIAP World Cups and some individual awards to France.
The speeches by the presidents and the director emphasized the importance of this project for the members of both federations and the prospects it opens for the future.
The FIAP Exhibition Centre in Paris is now open to the public, ready to welcome visitors and introduce them to the treasures of contemporary and classical photography. The gallery is staffed by volunteers. At present it is open on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 10am until 4pm. This may vary in the future depending on the exhibition being displayed. The exhibition hung for the inauguration will finish at the end of April but the program going forward makes a visit a must for all art and culture lovers.
