The public present at the event was greeted by Dr. Cristina Pușcaș, the Museum's museographer, who, after introducing the exhibiting photographer, thanked him for the wonderful images taken in this magical area of Romania and for the fact that he personally participated in the opening of this exceptional exhibition transmitted in directly on Facebook. Next, the photographer artist Ștefan Tóth István AFIAP, ESFIAP president of the International Association "Euro Photo Art" (AIEFA), presented the context in which he met the renowned photographer artist on October 5, 2022 in Tokyo. "For me, as a curator, the preparation of the exhibition meant an artistic challenge. I had the honor of selecting the best from hundreds of images shot mostly on analog film and then converting them to black and white. In my opinion, the exhibited photos have the power to "convince" the visiting public and the statement of the exhibiting photographer artist that Maramureș is the center of the world" the AIEFA president emphasized in his speech. In the end. the renowned Japanese artist and photographer Kosey Miya from Tokyo spoke with great emotion about the context in which he first learned about Maramureș, respectively about the hundreds of roads made in this fairytale area of Romania starting in 1965, after we made a road from Moscow via Chernivtsi to Iasi where I entered Romania. "After my first trip, I was charmed by the landscape and the local people, which is why I returned every year to these picturesque lands. Every time it was a pleasant surprise for me to meet and get to know so many wonderful local people. There is not a day when I don't think about the people of Maramures, who have conquered my heart" the exhibiting photographer emphasized in his speech. In conclusion, the president of AIEF handed the Japanese photographer the Certificate of Patronage of the International Association. Musical moments of the opening were offered by the representative of the "Duo Varadiensis" band Thurzó Sándor József (viola), who interpreted the Japanese compositions: "Kono Mischi" by Yamada Kosaku, "Inu no omawarisan" by Onaka Negumi and "Nihonno fuyu" by Watanabe Shigebu". After the opening, the participants of the event were invited to the AIEFA headquarters in the Prince's Palace of the Medieval Citadel (Body C) for a friendly meeting.
