In April 2025, the new exhibition hall located in the building known as the Casa de la Vila (also called “Ajuntament Vell”) in Santa Eugènia (Mallorca) was officially inaugurated. The renovation of the old town hall building involved an investment of 1.8 million euros from Next Generation funds. After its transformation, it became a sustainable and multifunctional building with spaces designed for various cultural and social uses. The attic of the building now houses a spacious event hall, ideal for exhibitions and cultural activities. In June 2025, the Santa Eugenia Town Hall and the Federation of Photographic Associations of the Balearic Islands (FAFIBA) signed an agreement to host the official headquarters of the FIAP Exhibition Centerof Mallorca in this building. The management of the Center is entrusted to Juan Palmer, current president of FAFIBA, former president of the CEF, and a renowned photographer with more than forty years dedicated to promoting photographic art and associations. During this time, he has received numerous national (Spanish Confederation of Photography, Catalan Federation of Photography) and international (International Federation of Photographic Art, Images sans Frontière) distinctions and recognitions, among others.
